How a window-cleaning robot works

A window-cleaning robot is a compact device that sticks to glass using suction or a vacuum seal, then moves across the pane in a set pattern while a microfibre pad wipes the surface. You spray a little cleaning solution onto the pads, place the robot on the glass, and it works its way across while you supervise. It suits large, flat panes, glass doors, mirrors and shower screens, and it takes the strain out of the tall windows that are hard to reach by hand.

Suction and battery backup are the most important specifications, because they are what keep the robot on the glass.
